God's Love and Christian Life

Husband and I didn't go to church on Sunday, so last night we took the time to look up and study Sunday's readings (...and the surrounding text because I get carried away). One of the readings reached out and touched my heart so strongly that I actually began to tear up. I felt that it was speaking to me in so many ways. I thought I would share here –with you.

1 John 4:18-21

We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
